With the series premiere just a week away from hitting television sets, there is plenty of excitements for TV’s new superhero as DC returns in the new live-action drama Arrow. Though we’ve seen a number of actors and actresses cast as various heroes or villains from the comics, now has been the time to get our first glimpses at these characters set in the realistic world of Starling City. Not too long ago we had our first look at Kelly Hu as the antagonist China White from Green Arrow: Year One, but today we get our look at a villain far more famous for his role in the Suicide Squad: Deadshot.
Below are the first photos of actor Michael Rowe as the Batman baddie who will be sharing blows with Oliver Queen. Though it appears Queen has the upper hand this time around, we wouldn’t be too sure just yet given Deadshot’s comic book past.
Rowe is set to first appear in Episode 3 “The Lone Gunman”, airing October 24th on The CW. Word has it that, like Hu, the actor could recur throughout the season but that has yet to be decided. Though he’s not fully masked like his source material persona, let’s hope Rowe can bring out a performance worth cheering about.
White and Deadshot are just some of the comic book characters that Arrow will be introducing, as it’s been hinted that Deathstroke will be the overarching villain of the series’ first season while Jessica De Gouw is already booked for a multi-episode arc as a potential love interest Helena Bertinelli and fellow vigilante The Huntress. De Gouw will first pop up in Episode 7, while Deathstroke has yet to be cast (that is, unless one of Starling City’s other citizens may be the man behind the mask).
Arrow premieres Wednesday October 10th at 8PM only on The CW.
