With set photos now out showcasing The Wolf Pack back together, it’s clear that the beginning of the end has officially kicked off for The Hangover franchise. Set to conclude the trilogy, the third film in the series is set to film in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and even Tijuana as they close out the journey on a hopeful high note. What’s been interesting thus far has also been the inclusion of plenty old cast members from the films’ past along with plenty of new faces who want in on the action before the time is up. Now, one of the shining comedic stars from last year’s hit Bridesmaids is in talks to show up in the last adventure of the three best friends’.
Variety reports that Melissa McCarthy is currently circling a small role in The Hangover: Part III. Details on the part is under wraps, while there is no deal as of yet due to the fact that McCarthy would have to take time off from her busy television schedule on Mike & Molly. Nothing is currently final but it’s said the actress’ involvement is likely.
Since her scene stealing role in Bridesmaids, McCarthy has become one of Hollywood’s most wanted actresses as a fan-favorite. On a break from Mike & Molly before kicking off production on the third season, she filmed a lead part in the comedy Identity Theft co-starring Jason Bateman, Jon Favreau and more. She is also currently filming a co-starring role in the upcoming comedy The Heat with Sandra Bullock, Tony Hale, Taran Killam and more while reuniting her with director Paul Feig.
The Hangover: Part III will follow The Wolfpack on the road as they go journeying back to Las Vegas, while other plot details currently remain unknown. Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Jamie Chung, Justin Bartha, Mike Tyson, Ken Jeong, Mike Epps, Heather Graham, and Jeffrey Tambor will all be returning while John Goodman will appear as a mini-antagonist on this latest adventure.
The Hangover: Part III hits theaters on May 24th, 2013.
