HBO’s newest series this year have been met with a decent number of mixed reviews, though one show that it seems both audiences and critics can agree on is the new comedy Girls. With a second season ready to kick off as soon as the clock strikes the new year, Lena Dunham and crew are set to return with plenty of promise for a batch of episodes that simply couldn’t wait until the spring. As the Boardwalk Empire season premiere aired last night, HBO found it to be a prime opportunity to release a first glimpse into what’s to come as the first teaser for Season 2 of Girls has been released with plenty of familiar faces popping up.

The teaser doesn’t give too much away other than the fact that HBO is trying to ride an anticipation wave by revealing the faces of the key cast members, but it certainly feels like we can expect plenty to come out of promotion soon. Big guest stars such as Rita Wilson, Donald Glover, Colin Quinn, Patrick Wilson and Shiri Appleby have had fans talking thus far and it seems we can anticipate the pay-cable network to really promote the batch of faces that will be interacting with the gals and Adam in the upcoming sophomore season.

Girls will return at a date to be determined in January 2013.
