First Look at Logan Lerman and Madison Davenport in Darren Aronofsky’s ‘Noah’

A biblical epic is currently in production in several locations such as New York and Southern Iceland as Darren Aronofsky’s Noahhas just kicked off what’s sure to be a lengthy principal photography process. We’ve already seen our first official image from the film as Russell Crowe’s titular ark builder was the first character revealed, while exactly how everyone else will appear in this dramatic telling of the popular tale has been kept very much in secret. Now the latest set photos finally reveal our look at even more of the upcoming film as we get our first look at Noah’s son Ham (played by Logan Lerman), Ham’s wife (Madison Davenport) and just what the general style of the drama will push as the costumes for the characters are revealed.

Noah is officially described as “a close adaptation of the Biblical story of Noah’s Ark. In a world ravaged by human sin, Noah is given a divine mission: to build an Ark to save creation from the coming flood”. The story will also involve Noah’s battle with alcohol while also having a true antagonist as Ray Winstone leads a group of men who believe that Noah’s persistence to place everyone on one boat after talking to God is pure madness. Among all of this, the story will also include “11-foot-tall fallen angels with six arms and no wings called Watcher”s.

The screenplay was written by Aronofsky and Ari Handel, while later revised by Academy Award-nominated screenwriter John Logan (GladiatorHugo). Co-starring Jennifer Connelly, Anthony Hopkins, Emma Watson, Douglas Booth, Kevin Durand, Barry Sloane and more, Noah hits theaters on March 28th, 2014.
