If there’s one episode fans of the comic can’t wait to see from the already buzzed new series Arrow, it’s the inclusion of DC Comics’ character The Huntress a.k.a. Helena Bertinelli. Helena will be sticking around for a little while to possibly steal Oliver Queen’s heart, while exacting a little vegeance of her own. With a season filled with impressive roles already, it’s time for the guests to become even more interesting as a veteran of Battlestar Galactica and Joss Whedon’s short-lived Dollhousewill be looking to possibly go toe-to-toe with the titular hero.
CinemaBlend reports that Tahmoh Penikett will guest star in an episode of Arrow early on this season, with a current timetable undetermined. Penikett will be playing an important member of the mob named Tom Salvati under a division of Helena’s father Frank Bertinelli, played by Jeffrey Nordling. The actor is only expected to stick around for one episode but could appear longer given that Helena’s stay in Starling City has been confirmed for multiple episodes.
This won’t be the first time that Penikett has tangled with DC Comics’ television before, however. He’s guest starred on the decade-long Smallville in two different roles; once in Season 3 and then twice as a new character of Wes Keenan in Season 6. Penikett will reportedly be continuing his Superman roots with a small role in next summer’s Man of Steel, though that has yet to be confirmed.
Jessica De Gouw is expected to show up as The Huntress in Season 1′s seventh episode titled “Muse of Fire”. There is no word when on her stint Nordling or Penikett will show up, but we’d expect a prominent role in order for the heroine to keep her roots close to Arrow’s.
Arrow premieres Wednesday October 10th at 8PM only on The CW.
