With an Emmy win in hand for actress Jessica Lange, the second season of American Horror Story is ready to kick off with Lange at the very front of the impressive cast teaming up for an all-new tale in the anthology series. Though it’s been promised a number of supernatural creatures and horror-filled situations will plague the new plot, it’s exactly what’s been kept secret in the shadows that remains the most intriguing. Now, we get a look into what lies beyond the corner as FX has released a behind the scenes sneak peek of what’s to come with interviews from the case and crew. And yes: fan-favorite Evan Peters is just as charming as ever.
Set in 1964, the new episodes will feature Lange, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Adam Levine, James Cromwell, Joseph Fiennes, Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, Peters, Lily Rabe, Chloe Sevigny and more. The setting this time around will be an East Coast institution for the criminally insane, with Lange’s lead character being both a nun and a prominent member among the staff. Fiennes will be playing the head of the facility, with Cromwell also joining the working staff while the rest of the characters will be playing inmates.
American Horror Story: Asylum premieres Wednesday October 17th at 10PM only on FX.
