In the year and a half following the series finale of ABC Family’sGreek, the cast has moved on to bigger things in their careers though arguably the most successful so far have been actors Clark Duke and Scott Michael Foster. With various appearance on television since, it’s hard to say just who could emerge as the next big star in their post-show careers. However now, one of the main actresses of the series is looking to add a major role under her belt as she joins one of the hottest new series of last year.
TV Line reports that Dilshad Vadsaria has been cast in ABC’s hit soap-drama Revenge, playing a recurring role and possible love interest for Season 2. Vadsaria will star as “Padma, a gorgeous, fiercely intelligent, pop culture savvy financial whiz who brings her own spin to her job at Nolan’s (Gabriel Mann) company”.
Creator Mike Kelley hinted last month that Nolan will be gaining a new female love interest this season and with Padma obviously close to the genius in both intellect and constantly in his daily life, a mutual attraction could eventually develop. There is no word just how many
Vadsaria is the third new cast member to join the show following Barry Sloane’s casting as a mystery man from Emily’s past, while Jennifer Jason Leigh will be playing Emily’s long lost and previously-thought-deceased mother. Margarita Levieva has also signed on to reprise her role as Fauxmanda for at least 10 of the season’s first 14 episodes, while casting still continues as the series searches for Conrad’s family from a previous marriage.
Since her departure from Greek, Vadsaria has had only two roles. Last summer, she was the female lead in the buddy-comedy dud 30 Minutes or Less starring Jesse Eisenberg, Aziz Ansari, Danny McBride and Nick Swardson, while she also made a brief return to ABC Family as she made an appearance in the sitcom Melissa & Joey.
Revenge returns Sunday September 30th at 10PM.
