A couple years ago when the first trailer for The Social Networkdebuted, the entire internet seemed to fall in love with Scala & Kolacny Brothers. The piano and choir duo cover some of the biggest hits for music and have become quite famous ever since their rendition of Radiohead’s “Creep” played on the big screen with the origins of Facebook. Now, Showtime is prepping to air the second season for their hit drama Homelandwhich has previously seen awards glory by winning Best Drama Series at this year’s Golden Globes. And with the debut of the first full trailer today, specific plot details are kept on the downlow while Scala & Kolacny Brothers cover another classic tune.
With Carrie last seen being treated for her bi-polar disorder while also in love with F.B.I. war hero Nicholas Brody, it seems she’s past the seizure that the first season left off with and on to possibly proving that Brody is in fact a threat to the U.S. Meanwhile, Saul looks to be tested as he’s torn between finally believing his close friend in Carrie and staying true to the morals of the country he’s live so long to protect.
The first two episodes of Season 2 take place in Beirut as the game of spies and double agents continue while actor Rupert Friend will join in a new regular role as a C.I.A. analyst. What most fans are waiting for, however, is whether or not Homeland may stand a chance at the Emmys in just a few weeks. If so, perhaps a even bigger audience will be making its way to the hit series should it win some big awards.
Homeland Season 2 premiere on Sunday September 30th only on Showtime.
