If you read Marvel comics, you’re aware more of the history behind S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Maria Hill than what little was revealed about her in the #1 film of the year The Avengers. While we’re just getting started with the character, Joss Whedon easily left a few inklings that Hill would easily change a few things had she been in charge over Fury. In the comics, this motive becomes even more clear as she certainly enters superhero affairs to make the protagonists’ jobs just a bit harder.

Now with the first footage from the Blu-Ray and DVD of The Avengers previewing every day, fans are interested to see just how the confirmed alternate opening of the film would have changed the tone of the film as we know it. Today that opening has been revealed which pits Hill in a much more disgusted mood following the climax of the movie, and possibly making her a stronger force to come in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Avengers hits store shelves on September 25th.
