With Comic-Con in full swing, The CW has been pushing each of its upcoming series and will continue to do so once the panels begin to finally surface as the week continues. The first night of the convention had pilot screenings, which had many walking away with great impressions of the next superhero series Arrow. Now, it seems the network wants to ride that popularity and has decided to give fans unfortunately not attending a taste of what they’re missing. Today, they’ve released two all-new extended looks at Arrow and Beauty & The Beast, both of which feature the main characters taking down some villain scum.
Arrow features the return of DC Comics to The CW as the series retells the origins of Oliver Queen, the millionaire who becomes inspired to wipe his city of crime following his return off of a deserted islands for multiple years. It’s there on the island that Queen has become a changed man from his playboy ways and has learned to become very useful with a bow and arrow. Starring Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy, Colin Donnell, Willa Holland, Susanna Thompson, and more, Arrowpremieres October 10th at 8PM.
Beauty & The Beast, meanwhile, features the return of another familiar face to The CW as Kristin Kreuk returns in her first series regular role since her departure from Smallville. Here, Kreuk plays Detective Catherine Chandler who has been shaped to become a long arm of the law following the murder of her mother. Catherine would have been killed too if it wasn’t for a mysterious creature who saved her that night. Many years later, Catherine encounters her savior again in a New York City warehouse and must fight to not only keep his power a secret but fight to ultimately repay the same favor he performed for her those years ago. Beauty & The Beastpremieres October 11th at 9PM.
