UK Poster for ‘Looper’ Hints At How The Film’s Time Machine Works

It’s been about a month since we’ve heard from the buzzed about sci-fi thriller Looper, as the first trailer and the CinemaCon footage have been out and excited plenty. While summer gets ready to throw a ton of movies at us, Looper will likely be making a marketing push sometime soon in preparation for its September release. Now, the film gets an all-new poster that certainly puts the central technology that moves the events of the movie front and center.

One of the spectacular things about the poster happens to be the high resolution allows you to look and see at what may very much be easter eggs. Some scribblings on the door may certainly lead to something down the road, while what’s exactly in the time machine is another mystery all together. The biggest question comes as to whether or not this is smart marketing for the film, as well. Not exactly a widely known film just yet, the public passers by may not know exactly what the device is, and may simply shrug off the one-sheet.

Time travel will be invented – but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a “looper” – a hired gun, like Joe – is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good… until the day they decide to “close the loop”, sending back Joe’s future self for assassination.

Looper, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Emily Blunt, Bruce Willis, Jeff Daniels, Piper Perabo, and more, jumps into your theater on September 28th.
