Two All-New Posters for ‘The Campaign’ with Zach Galifianakis and Will Ferrell

Who will be the hit comedy of the summer? That certainly seems to be the question on plenty of people’s minds as The Dictator opened to a decent-enough number, while the alien comedy The Watch comes next month. One comedy with plenty of potential late in the season comes The Campaign, which brings Jay Roach back into politics, and pits Will Ferrell in an election rivalry with Zach Galifianakis. While the first trailer has had some people buzzing, it could break out to be the biggest comedy of the summer months. Now, Warner Brothers starts to push the laugher as they’ve just released the two latest posters for the upcoming film.

When long-term congressman Cam Brady (Will Ferrell) commits a major public gaffe before an upcoming election, a pair of ultra-wealthy CEOs plot to put up a rival candidate and gain influence over their North Carolina district. Their man: naive Marty Huggins (Zach Galifianakis), director of the local Tourism Center. At first, Marty appears to be the unlikeliest possible choice but, with the help of his new benefactors’ support, a cutthroat campaign manager and his family’s political connections, he soon becomes a contender who gives the charismatic Cam plenty to worry about.

Directed by Jay Roach, and co-starring Dylan McDermott, John Lithgow, Dan Aykroyd, Brian Cox, and more, The Campaign opens in theaters on August 10th.
