The Love Triangle Continues as ‘Revenge’ Actress Signs on For Early Season Arc

Fauxmanda won't let her man go that easily

With TV series back in development, most fans can’t wait for some of the biggest cliffhangers to be answered. Hot soapy drama Revenge ended it’s year on quite a few twists, including the prevention of a fan-favorite romance thanks to a returning pregnant Fauxmanda. While actress Margarita Levieva is strictly a guest star for now, it’s unclear exactly what this means in terms of the character’s future developent. However for the time being, it seems viewers can expect plenty more pre-baby worries for the first half of Season 2.

Deadline reports that Levieva has officially signed on to appear in 7 of the first 14 episodes as the alias of Amanda Clarke, best know by fans as “Fauxmanda”. Levieva originally appeared in the series’ starting arc last November, and went on to guest star in 10 episodes of the first season before making a quick cameo appearance in the season finale. It’s likely that Levieva’s seven episode guarantee could be expanded as the writers begin to script the first episodes of the season, which began this past week.

What this also signals will be that Fauxmanda is likely to stay a part of the show until Early 2013, meaning fans hoping that Jack and Emily may just wind up together early on may have to hold their hearts in their hands for the time being. While obviously the theory is that there’s some sort of secret behind Fauxmanda’s belly bump, it seems Jack will be staying in daddy mode while Emily has bigger fish to fry in the search for her mother. Could this lead to another romantic interest for the double-life female protagonist? We’ll have to find out.

Creator Mike Kelley revealed that while characters will in fact be returning, we’ll also a good share of new characters as well. Victoria’s Mom, Conrad’s ex-wife and kids, a new puppy to replace Sammy, Nolan’s brother or sister, and more individuals from the pasts of Emily, Nolan, and Amanda will all surface later this year as the series shifts to a new night. Hopefully ABC will be able to pull a ratings punch with the combo of Once Upon a Time and Revenge, both of which were two of the most talked about new dramas on any network last year.

Revenge returns sometime this fall Sundays at 9PM on ABC.
