With upfronts now a distant memory, one of the key things to take away from The CW’s press conference was the reveal we would be experiencing debuts later in the year because the network wanted to cut the length of its long holiday hiatuses that annually begin in November and the end of February. Premiere dates are now starting to be revealed by networks, but with The CW having a later schedule is was unclear whether or not they would that information to themselves. But, with a major marketing push at Comic-Con in just two short weeks, the network has decided today to reveal just when some of your favorite shows will be returning.
Hart of Dixie will kick off the premieres on Tuesday October 2nd with its second season, followed by fan-favorite Supernaturalon Wednesday October 3rd. The teen crews of 90210 andGossip Girl will return on Monday October 8th, while the highly anticipated Arrow will start its superhero reign withSupernatural on Wednesday October 10th.
The supernatural combo of The Vampire Diaries and new seriesBeauty and the Beast will take Thursday nights by storm starting October 11th. Joining Dr. Hart in an all-medical-night on Tuesdays will be Emily Owens, M.D. on October 16th. Then to round out the final scripted premiere of the fall, super sleuthNikita will be back with her crew on Friday October 19th.
No word yet on how long the hiatuses will be this year for The CW, but with a month delay, it should easily get rid of the series; two month departures that begin in November.
