Ashley Tisdale has certainly been gaining popularity in the past few weeks, as the actress has been gaining some pretty interesting roles. Just last week it was announced that Tisdale would be replacing Anna Faris as the new lead character of the upcoming spoof sequel Scary Movie 5, and Tisdale will also be launching her first unscripted series Miss Advised later this month on Bravo through her comapny Blondie Girl Productions. Now, it seems Tisdale will be also returning to television later in the year in what sounds to be quite a risque role.
THR reports that Tisdale has signed up for a two-episode guest star stint on the hit FX drama Sons of Anarchy‘s fifth season. She’ll be playing the role of “Emma Jean, a desirable, high-priced escort who complicates the club’s life” and will appear early on in the season.
Tisdale’s career has truly been one to watch on television as she began years ago on Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. It’s there she went on to the highly successful High School Musical trilogy and a spin-off film that focused on her character following high school. She also lends one of the voices for Disney’s highly successful animated series Phineas and Ferb, while she also was a series regular in the short lived cheerleading drama Hellcats on The CW.
Starring Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman, Katey Segal, and more,Sons of Anarchy is set to return sometime this September. Late last year, FX signed a three year commitment with creator Kurt Sutter and renewed the series through 2013, with a seventh season for the series likely to happen in 2014.
