One of the biggest reveals of the past week has been the fact that LucasArts is ready to unleash an all-new Star Wars video game called Star Wars 1313. With one teaser image, we’ve been promised more as we move into E3. With the biggest gaming event in the world kicking off yesterday, plenty of announcements went underway and last night the first footage for Star Wars 1313 was shown. After the jump, see for yourself what the Star Wars universe has in store for you this time.
The first video below is an opening cut scene from the game while the other two are gameplay clips. The story, which centers around bounty hunters in the Star Wars universe, takes place on the planet of Coruscant which is divided into thousands and thousands of layers. Layer 1313 is described as basically a criminal underworld and a dark seedy place for basically the scum of the galaxy to come and fester.
The game will be rated M for Mature, with a release date very much unclear right now. The roughly three minutes of footage shown below is the only released footage and look at the game to date, and the videos shown are NOT running off of a Playstation 3 or Xbox 360. Instead, the graphics are that of a high-end PC, and the goal of LucasArts is to make sure Star Wars 1313 basically seamlessly changes between cutscenes and actual gameplay:
