‘Saving Hope’ Featured In Upcoming Issue of TV Guide

As we get closer and closer to the premiere, media outlets are starting to cover every single aspect of the promising new medical drama ‘Saving Hope’.

To satisfy the avid fans that are eager for more and more information regarding their — already — new favorite Summer show, TV Guide features a small piece about ‘Saving Hope’ in its upcoming issue.  Check out the scan below. Courtesy of DanielGilliesOnline

After flying high with Superman as Lois Lane on Smallville, Erica Durance comes down to earth to play pragmatic surgeon Alex Reid on the new medical drama Saving Hope. But despite the ER time slot, Hope is far from a redo: There’s a decidedly supernatural element, thanks to the observations of the hospital’s chief of surgery, Charlie Harris (Michael Shanks), who lingers in a coma following a traumatic accident. Oh, and Charlie just happens to be Alex’s fiancé. “He gives us a different perspective to the world,” says Durance. Throughout the series, Alex struggles to save not only patients, but her own true love as well. “It’s all about how they’re trying to find each other again,” says Durance. So are there any similarities between Alex and Supe’s main squeeze? Durance laughs. “They are both driven, but Lois is from the heart and Alex is from the head,” she says. “Lois was a multicolored rainbow, and Alex is the antithesis of that.”

‘Saving Hope’ premieres Thursday, June 7 @ 9/8c (New Time Slot) on NBC
