his weekend two new TV spots had hit television for The Dark Knight Rises, continuing the film’s massive marketing push that began early last week. However, only one managed to surface online yesterday. Thankfully, however, the other has finally hit the Internet, and with it comes a few more small chuckles. But, perhaps the biggest portion of the new promo may do with an actress that we haven’t seen very much of in the trailers and spots so far, while we also welcome the return of an old friend.
Despite another comical approach towards the film, the fast moving jump cuts are certainly filled with plenty of stuff we’ve seen already, but one huge thing we haven’t: Miranda Tate. Now, we’ve barely seen much of Marion Cotillard’s character in any of the marketing so far, and here we see a gigantic development towards the character as she’s seen locking lips with Bruce. We know that Bruce Wayne’s greatest romance in the comics is that of Talia al Ghul, but contrary to her denials, could this be the kiss the confirms the romance will be headed to the big screen?
