With the latest trailer for The Dark Knight Rises officially released, and it’s competition hitting record highs, DC and Warner Brothers are ready to unleash the final Nolan-Batman sequel upon fans. Plenty of hopes are being held high for the film, while also the marketing is starting to increase more and more. Now, a new photo of the villain for the film Bane has been unleashed as a part of a major cover story.

The image comes from Total Film‘s massive spread of the highly anticipated conclusion in their latest issue. Hardy told the magazine, “It’s not as bad as you might think. You just put it on. Work out where you drool goes. That’s it. Mask work is good fun. This one wasn’t painful; there was the stunt mask and there was the up-close on for the sexy glam shots.”

As for his workout regimen, Hardy said, “When I started I was about 160-something pounds. When I was done I was 190. You lift weights. You eat. You lift some more weights. You don’t run anywhere because if you do cardio, you drop weight. So it’s really good for heart attacks!”

Starring Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Freeman, Gordon-Levitt, Nestor Carbonell, Liam Neeson, Marion Cotillard, Joey King, and directed by Christopher Nolan,The Dark Knight Rises ascends into theaters on July 20th.
