Mad Max 4: Fury Road has been an incredibly slippery slope. With Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron still set for the film, which is aiming to being shooting soon, it comes after a long process that began nearly two years ago when the climate around the set changed. But, with all the delays, people are obviously set to start either staying on board after a very rocky road, or understandably drop out. Now, it seems Teresa Palmer is the next to leave the film, and a supermodel will make her acting debut in Palmer’s place.
The Daily Telegraph reports from a source close to production that model Abbey Lee Kershaw will make her first feature appearance in the upcoming film. And the source claims that Kershaw’s character won’t exactly be in the best of living environments. ”Obviously it’s set in a post-apocalyptic world, and women, especially beautiful women, are scarce, so men have been locking them up in cages. Abbey is one of them. She’s perfect.”
The film is set to begin shooting in Namibia, Africa sometime this month, with Goerge Miller returning to direct the fourth film of the franchise. Hardy will be playing the titular character, while Theron’s character will be missing the lower half of her left arm. Other than that, not too much of the film has been revealed, other than the fact that this is the first in a planned trilogy.
It’s set to be released sometime next year, though specifics are very scarce. Hopefully, we’ll have an official production announcement and more information coming up as the film gears for principal photography.
