Jennifer Morrison has a great new job on ABC, as she’s one of the main troupe in the year’s #1 new series Once Upon a Time. With a second season already locked up, it seems her future is already set. However, the actress isn’t forgetting her past just yet. House is about to wrap up their eight year run next month, and it seems Morrison doesn’t want the series to let go without her own proper goodbye.
TV Line reports that Morrison will return as Dr. Cameron in the series finale of House on May 21st, titled “Everybody Dies”. It’s said her appearance is only a cameo, so it certainly adds some mystery to those characters that are returning for the finale. Kal Penn’s dead-and-gone Kutner is set to appear as well, and with the details that Morrison will be a cameo, perhaps there’s something in there that leads to some sort of sequence successfully explaining their showing up (a dream or hallucination perhaps?).
ABC allowed Morrison to appear in the finale, and it will be Cameron’s first appearance on the show in two years. The character last resurfaced back in Season 6 to finalize her divorce from then-husband Chase (Jesse Spencer) while the hospital went on lockdown, prompting the two to finally confront each other, and have one last hookup before they went their seperate ways.
Past actresses Olivia Wilde and Amber Tamblyn are set to also return for the series finale, though again in what capacity is being kept under tight wraps. The final four episodes are said to focus on the bromance and deep friendship between House (Hugh Laurie) and Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard), with the latter just being diagnosed with cancer. It’s unclear if Wilson will be headed to the pearly gates just yet, but there’s sure to be a great deal of emotion involved.
House airs every Monday at 8PM on FOX.
