With plenty of teasers and a couple stills, fans are still waiting for the full-length trailer for The Bourne Legacy. The film hits theaters in only four months, and we have yet to see anything beyond the initial teaser. Now, a new international trailer for the film has premiered, giving us a few quick glimpses of some new footage, while ultimately being edited together for much more of emphasis on one certain character.
The trailer really is just a rehash of the teaser, whoing a bit more action rather than the side swiping transitions from the stateside version. There seems to be more of an emphasis on Edward Norton’s character, which is a smart move especially as he’s the villain of the feature. Other than that, the full-length trailer is still in waiting.
The narrative architect behind the Bourne film series, Tony Gilroy, takes the helm in the next chapter of the hugely popular espionage franchise that has earned almost $1 billion at the global box office: The Bourne Legacy. The writer/director expands the Bourne universe created by Robert Ludlum with an original story that introduces us to a new hero (Jeremy Renner) whose life-or-death stakes have been triggered by the events of the first three films. For The Bourne Legacy, Renner joins fellow series newcomers Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Stacy Keach and Oscar Isaac, while franchise veterans Albert Finney, Joan Allen, David Strathairn and Scott Glenn reprise their roles.
The Bourne Legacy drops into theaters on August 3rd.
