First Clip from ‘The Five-Year Engagement’

Love is always the most important thing when it comes to your significant other. But, when it comes to weddings, it’s when two come from different faiths that cause a little bit of a complex situation for the event. This is one of the details that need to be tackled before the wedding of Tom (Jason Segel) and Violet (Emily Blunt) in the upcoming comedy The Five-Year Engagement. Now, see for yourself the first clip from the film, where the two sets of parents make the issue a nagging reality.

Director Nicholas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) co-wrote the comedy with star and frequent creative partner Segel. “Beginning where most romantic comedies end, the new film from director Nicholas Stoller, producer Judd Apatow (Knocked Up, The 40-Year-Old Virgin) and Rodney Rothman (Get Him to the Greek) looks at what happens when an engaged couple keeps getting tripped up on the long walk down the aisle.”

Co-starring Rhys Ifans, Alison Brie, Chris Pratt, Kevin Hart, Mindy Kaling, and more, The Five-Year Engagement opens on April 27th.
