With popcorn blockbusters full of mindless action coming up, of course The Expendables 2 will begin its big marketing plan sometime soon. Though we’ve only seen a little bit of the movie, the upcoming sequel has been relatively quiet in terms of delivering posters, trailers, or anything in between. Now, Lionsgate is kicking off their first round of promotion for the movie by debuting a dozen character posters featuring the heavy hitters from the film, which you can see right below.

After taking a seemingly simple job for Mr. Church (Bruce Willis), the Expendables find their plans going awry and one of their own is brutally murdered by rival mercenary Jean Vilain (Jean-Claude Van Damme). The Expendables set out into hostile territory — with their new members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) — to put a stop to a deadly weapon and gain their revenge against the villain who killed their brother.

The Expendables 2, directed by Simon West, and starring Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Liam Hemsworth, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and more, will open on August 17th.
