Will Peter Parker Return From The Grave In This Summer’s ‘Spider-Men’?

Miles Morales has been taking the Ultimate universe by storm. With the interestingly diverse appeal of the character, the writing of the brand new series has never been more interesting, and has seemingly revitalized the title. Earlier this year, Marvel teased a coming story arc called “Spider-Men”, with a spider logo that resembled Morales’. Now, a new teaser image has come forth, and not only does it seemingly confirm that it’s the Ultimate Comics storyline, but also that Peter Parker could be returning.

MTV Geek posted the following teaser image (click to enlarge):

Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli are the duo behind Miles’ character, so obviously it will be revolving around our now current Spidey in some form. However, just because the silhouette does closely resemble both Miles and Peter does not mean Peter Parker will be raised from the dead just yet. The title Spider-Men could mean any number of things. A new hero may have the same abilities as Miles, and may feel he deserves the same title that our new hero does after Peter’s death.

While it certainly seems likely that Peter could return, especially as June marks the one year anniversary of his death, it seems like it would create quite the problem. If Parker were to return, would he reclaim his role in headlining the comic? If so, does this mean Morales is cast aside in a spin-off? Or, will Peter merely play a secondary character? There’s plenty of mystery, while also plenty of possible directions these teasers are making the story go. It’ll be interesting to see which ones are tossed aside, and which ones are embraced.

What do you think? Will Peter return? If so, how much does that complicate the simplicity and new era of Miles Morales?
