With the soundtrack releasing tomorrow, the week fans have been waiting for is now here, all leading up to the opening of The Hunger Gamesthis weekend. But, if you can’t wait, Gale and Katniss share a moment together in an all-new clip, which you can see below:
Most of the clip is, unfortunately, already footage we’ve seen thanks to the trailer and TV spots. It’s not really enough to really be seen as a “new” clip, but it helps put what we’ve seen into context already, while we also get a glimpse inside District 12′s main building, and the room in which Katniss is kept following her tribute volunteer.
Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the evil Capitol of the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. A twisted punishment for a past uprising and an ongoing government intimidation tactic, The Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which “Tributes” must fight with one another until one survivor remains.
Directed by Gary Ross, the film co-stars Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Toby Jones, Alexander Ludwig, Isabelle Fuhrman, Donald Sutherland, Wes Bentley, Amandla Stenberg and Stanley Tucci.
The Hunger Games hits theaters and IMAX this Friday.
