Here comes the bride?
Despite a rocky start, How I Met Your Mother has been doing a great job as of late at tackling relationships, while also balancing out with laughs. Now, we have to wait just a few short weeks until a baby’s birth, along with the final stretch of new episodes. But, what will the season finale have in store for the popular comedy? Today, the season finale’s title was revealed, along with plenty of mystery details and spoilers about the plot.
The final episode of HIMYM‘s seventh season, airing in May, will be titled “The Magician’s Code”. While it’s unclear if we’ll revisit that faithful wedding that we’ve experienced in season openers and enders that begin with the S6 premiere, it seems we may just have an answer as to who the bride will be.
The episode will feature flashbacks to Barney’s, Robin’s, and Quinn’s childhood. In Barney’s, we experience his magic teacher, who was yet another conquest of his mother’s sex life. In Robin’s, she’s busy shoplifting, while Quinn’s involves a school project where she’s forced to interview “a sort of wilting Gypsy Rose Lee”.
While someone will wind up in the hospital (perhaps Ted, given that he has a knack for winding up in them when it comes to season finales), Barney and Robin will be headed on a trip. However, going through the airport hits a huge snag when Barney refuses to open a metal box…which may or may not contain an engagement ring! Will the ultimate playboy pop the question? Will Quinn be the bride?
How I Met Your Mother returns April 16th on CBS in its usual timeslot Mondays at 8PM.
