It’s been awhile since we’ve heard…well, anything on Halo 4. The game was announced a very long eight months ago at E3, and has been buzzing for that long, but we haven’t received anything else in the meantime. With a release pegged for late this year, and undoubtedly a full showcase at E3 2012, a new report claims that Microsoft will be revealing the highly anticipated sequel later this month.
Twitter user @Kaban0ssi (via IGN) tweeted this photo from a Finnish magazine:
What the image above ultimattely says is that a Halo 4 reveal is coming during Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Spring Showcase in San Francisco. Now, the Spring Showcase is Microsoft’s chance to wow audiences everywhere before the Game Developer’s Conference, but Halo 4 hasn’t been mentioned at all until this point. Perhaps that was Microsoft’s objective: to throw off people and then reveal a big element of Halo 4 at the Showcase.
The Showcase is set to run from February 29th to the following day March 1st. It’s unknown if what will be revealed is a new trailer, plot details, a release date, or more. Expect a small reveal, while the full game will be highly detailed at E3 this June.
We’ll keep you updated on what Microsoft decides to announce.
