If there’s one thing I can’t wait for this week (besides the Super Bowl), it’s the upcoming two hour premiere of ABC’s The River. There’s been plenty of talk about the series, but without a proper context of just what is happening on the show, the clips so far have seemed to have more bark than bite. Now, the network has releashed a fresh new clip for us to look at, and it showcases the true mystery of the series: just what is attacking the characters of the series?

The Hollywood Reported released their review yesterday, calling the series the best mystery drama on ABC since LOST, which is sure to intrigue quite a few fans. The first season of the show is a disparingly short eight episodes, but with the promise that it could retain some fans of LOST, could The River be the next cult hit series from a network that has found much success this year?
