With series like Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and The Walking Dead, certain new shows can be overlooked. Hell on Wheels, the western drama that AMC premiered this past year, may certainly be one of those shows. However, with production on new episodes to begin soon, it certainly isn’t going anywhere just yet. To help win over a few more fans, the Blu-Ray and DVD release for Hell On Wheels‘ first year has just been announced, with cover art, pricing, and store date all in tact.
You can own the entire first season of the new AMC series on May 22nd, with pricing on Amazon listed at $40 for the 3 disc Blu-Ray version. Other than that, no information is readily available, as the announcement comes early to retailers from Koch Entertainment.
The series follows a Confederate soldier (Anson Mount) who is hell bent on exacting revenge on the Union soldiers who murdered his wife. Their trail leads to the raucous, traveling town alongside the construction of the transcontinental railroad. The series co-stars Colm Meaney and music artist Common.

AMC has renewed the show for a second season, which is expected to premiere early this winter.
