Initially FOX had a plan. Glee was going to go off the air for March, come back in April, and then everything would be fine. In its place, Breaking In would premiere new episodes sandwiched between a repeat of New Girl and a new episode of the hit freshman series. However, today FOX announced that the new comedy block schedule has been revised, and Glee will be off the air a bit longer than expected.
TV Line reports that Glee will air its Winter Finale on February 21st, and then will take a hiatus for seven weeks until April 10th. In it’s place, Raising Hope will air at 8PM, while I Hate My Teenage Daughter returns from its death march with new episodes at 8:30PM. New Girl will hit at 9PM, while Breaking Inreturns at 9:30PM. This new block starts on March 6th.
What’s interesting is seeing just how each individual show will do. Raising Hope hasn’t been without a New Girl ratings lead-in all season, and kicking off the night puts it in an interesting position. New Girl doesn’t have the same courtesy of a Gleelead-in either, but it’s expecting to fully retain its great numbers, lending a hand to the show on the rocks Breaking In.
So, are you bummed that Glee is going on vacation for a longer time than you though? Interested to see how the new timeslots work out?
