Bryan Fuller’s NBC ‘Munsters’ Reboot Is Now Retitled

The Munsters how they appeared oh so many years ago.

Though the earliest pilot out of the gate, we haven’t heard too much from NBC’s planned reboot of The Munsters since the mania of pilot season began. We know that Bryan Fuller’s vision will be helmed by X-Men director and producer Bryan Singer, but it seems that planned summer air start for the series is a pipe dream at this point. Now, it’s been reported that the upcoming series won’t be called The Munsters at all, but something a little more reminiscent of the house that the titular family lives in.

TV Line is reporting that the TV series will be called Mockingbird Lane, which refers to the address of the Victorian house the Munsters live within.

Currently, the project is in the casting stages with a decision on the pilot to be made shortly after filming. Initially, it was reported that the series was aiming for an eventual pick up, and then summer release, but it seems that possibility is long gone, especially given the fact the reboot series is on the same track as numerous other series that are gearing up for fall.

We’ll keep you updated on who will be cast as the popular family as casting progresses.
