Last week, the internet went crazy over the fact that Matthew Broderick would be reprising his role as Ferris Bueller in an upcoming commercial during the Super Bowl. What else would lie in store? We would have to wait…but not much longer. Honda has posted the extended game day commercial which prominently features their CR-V and an homage to the classic ’80s film. You can see the full thing for yourself below:
Now, Broderick doesn’t really reprise his role as Bueller, which is somewhat disappointing. The ad, directed by The Hangoverfilms’ Todd Phillips, just simply uses the Honda CR-V and the actor in paying tribute to scenes from the film. Life may move pretty quickly, and so does the ad. It’s funny, but not as hilarious as some of the other commericials during the game may be.
Super Bowl XLVI airs this Sunday starting at 6:30PM only on NBC.
