Jeff Who Lives at Home is a comedy that gained plenty of buzz at last year’s TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival). Starring Jason Segel and Ed Helms who play a pair of brothers, the trailer for the film, and poster, have just been released, and despite any previous thoughts on the movie, it looks absolutely extraordinary. See them for yourself:
Synopsis:
Jeff Who Lives At Home takes a more bold approach to comedy as it centers on Jeff who, “on his way to the store to buy wood glue, looks for signs from the universe to determine his path. However, a series of comedic and unexpected events leads him to cross paths with his family in the strangest of locations and circumstances. Jeff just may find the meaning of his life…and if he’s lucky, pick up the wood glue as well.”
For a little bit, the trailer seems like typical indie fare. Also, it seems as if Jason Segel’s character is borderline crazy. But, when we start to develop the brotherly bond, and when Segel and Helms truly shine together on screen, creating a great amount of chemistry, it provides for a trailer that definitely tugs at the heart strings in all the right ways.
Starring Segel, Helms, Susan Sarandon, Judy Greer, and more, one of the most talked about films from last year’s Tornoto International Film Festival hits theaters in limited engagements starting March 16th.
