Usually with the biggest films of the year comes some sort of special promotion. With the 3D craze still running rampant, special edition 3D glasses have been part of that marketing. Last year, fans could get special Harry Potter shaped 3D glasses for the final film, and soon Star Wars fans will be seeing the re-release in Podracing shaped ones. Now, Marvel has plans to do the same for The Avengers, except this time it’s not just one version: it’s all based off the four major heroes.

Superhero Hype revealed the following promotional image from BadTaste (click to enlarge):

It’ll be interesting to see how some people react to the post-convert 3D, but the glasses are a great way to entice some people over. The glasses for The Hulk seem bland, while Cap’s at least have the insignias on the side (not adding too much). The most interesting onces are easily the Iron Man and Thor versions of the glasses, as they seem to incorporate more of the costume style.

Let’s face it, though: it would have been somewhat funny to see Nick Fury 3D glasses with one lens blacked out for the eyepatch.
