Emily's latest victim hits the Hamptons next week

Lately on Revenge, the “Takedown of the Week” skeleton has been missing. For those of you who don’t know, the beginning of the season had Emily Thorne taking down various members of a large group who played a hand in the framing and death surrounding her father. For sometime, it’s been missing from the series to further enhance the characters, their relationships, and the dramatic twists and turns. Now, as the series returns tomorrow, it’s been revealed by executive producer Mike Kelley that the “Takedown of the Week” will be returning in the second episode back.

TV Line spoke with Kelley, who said that  “We decided to do a pretty elaborate takedown… and we found a really strong way to introduce a villain we quite like.” But, who is the target? A “pretentious journalist” in the form of guest star Roger Bart (Desperate Housewives, Harold & Kumar 2).  “We decided to do a pretty elaborate takedown… and we found a really strong way to introduce a villain we quite like.”

“Emily ends up using what she knows of Amanda from juvie to help her in her quest to destroy [him]. This takedown just so happens to open up a whole new vein of intrigue and surprise and possibility that will have a great impact on Emily’s quest. It paints villains in a softer light and makes people you like seem a little darker.”

Revenge returns tomorrow night at 10PM on ABC.
