If you watched this past week’s all-new Revenge, you know that after a DNA test scandal, Victoria is currently without a divorce attorney, which is bad news for Emily because it was revealed that Ryan Huntley was actually working with Emily, because he believed David Clarke was completley innocent. Now, it’s time for Victoria to hire a new divorce attorney, and the man just cast in the role has quite the legal experience.
TV Guide reveals that Courtney B. Vance, who’s starred on Law and Order: Criminal Intent and the failed ABC seriesFlashForward, has been cast as attorney Benjamin Barrett. Vance will appear in at least three episodes, meaning we’ll be seeing him past the big murder that everyone has been looking forward to (man, that feels wrong to say).
Does this mean that Barrett could become the Graysons possible defense attorney against whoever murders Daniel? A murder trial will be hitting the series after the 15th episode of the show (when the big murder-mystery reveal is coming), so it’s very possible that either Barrett could become a big player in the trial, and that he could possibly square off against Ryan Huntley. Huntley’s reappearance is not confirmed, but let’s be honest: no one is ever gone on Revenge.
Absense may make the heart grow fonder, which is why a new man in Victoria’s love life was always inevitable on Revenge. With her divorce to Conrad headed into either a settlement or a trial, it seems Victoria is going to be looking for love once more. After an affair from her husband, it seems Victoria is headed to one of her own, featuring a star of Rome.
The Insider (via TVLine) interviewing Madeleine Stowe who revealed that James Purefoy has been cast as a mystery man out to steal Victoria’s heart. Stowe says that her character is, “going to have a big, passionate love affair” with Purefoy’s role.
No word yet on how long Purefoy will be sticking around, but he’ll first be appearing in Episode 17 of the series, which is just two episodes after the much-anticapated reveal of the murder-mystery on the beach of The Hamptons.
Revenge airs every Wednesday night at 10PM on ABC, with new episodes returning in three weeks.
