Relativity Pushes ‘The Raven’ and ‘The House at The End of the Street’ To Later Dates

The Raven seemed like an interesting piece with little marketing and big competition. It was going up against some top hitters in a crowded March, and with just over a month until its release, it seems Relativity has done the right thing today. The studio has announced that the Edgar Allen Poe mystery will be pushed to just a little later in the year. Joining it is another Relativity film that has Jennifer Lawrence getting spooked out of her mind, also seemingly the subject of mis-marketing.

ComingSoon revealed that the studio has pushed The Raven, starring John Cusack from March 9th to April 27th. There, it will go up against the Segel-Stoller romantic comedy The Five Year Engagement, and the less-than-likely-to-make-a-splash Jason Statham action film Safe.

While we’re on the subject, here is a new poster for The Raven released today (click to enlarge):

Meanwhile, The House at the End of the Street, a horror thriller starring Jennifer Lawrence, will hit theaters on September 21st now, moved from its April 20th release date. The now fall film will look to scare up some audience members against Dreddand the family-friendly Hotel Transylvania.

We’ll keep you updated on anything both films has to offer as the year goes on.
