The Reaping is known, to fans of The Hunger Games, as the one event that essentially sets in motion the entire events of the novel. We’ve already seen plenty of footage from the Reaping in the trailer released so far, and today, a new photo has surfaced that reveals an all-new look at the event. Along with it comes two hi-res versions of newly released photos.

Here are all three photos (with the first coming from IMDB), with the first being the newest look at the film (click to enlarge):

It’s not really much, especially in terms of what the photos released earlier have already given us, but it’s definitely something. It’s interesting to see the tone of the very sullen Reaping is much reflecting by the dull color in the clothing of the girls in that pictures, and it’s very depressing, and somewhat sad, which is ultimately what the event is. You have to hand it to costume designer Judianna Makovsky, as all three photos above show what kind of imaginative costumes we’ll be seeing in the upcoming adaptation.

The Hunger Games hits theaters on March 23rd.
