Man of Steel has been extremely late in revealing casting news lately. Just recently, Richard Schiff was cast as Dr. Emil Hamilton after he was told to keep his signing silent for months. We know that a good portion of filming set the movie in Smallville, but who from Clark Kent’s past may we be seeing? Well, if the latest cast development is any indication, we’ll be seeing a character from not only a past Superman film, but also one of the loves of his life.
Superman Super Site reveals that young actress Jadin Gould has been cast as a mini version of Lana Lang. No word as to what capacity we’ll see Gould, but it’s expected to be very minor. She’ll appear, at the very least, in one flashback, and a grown-up version of her character has not been confirmed.
Gould will most likely appear on-screen with young Superman actor Dylan Sprayberry. Could she be a romantic interest that’s scared away be young Clark Kent’s emerging powers? Perhaps. She’s definitely a person of interest when it comes to Superman’s origins, so her inclusion within the film doesn’t come as much of a shock.
Man of Steel, directed by Zack Snyder, and starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, and many more, hits theaters on June 14th, 2013.
