We’re just chomping at the bit for it to be two months from now, as Mad Men will premiere its fifth season after a grueling 17 months off the air. What lies in store? Well, we know that there will be a time jump, many of the actors have said it feels like Season 1 all over again, and now, if it is any indication, the first episode title of the two hour season premiere may just have revealed one more thing for us to expect.
TV Guide exclusively revealed that Matthew Weiner, the series creator, has titled the season premiere “A Little Kiss”. When asked about the title, Weiner said, “I like the title to have some kind of synergy with the show so it will pique your interest.”
With the comment of “synergy”, we can obviously assume that there will be a little kiss with big repurcussions somewhere in that two hours, but the big mystery remains of whom it could be?
When TV Guide asked if the kiss is between Don (Jon Hamm) and new wife Megan (Jessica Pare), Weiner responded very cryptically by saying, ”Who says Megan’s even going to be part of Don’s life? He may be back with Betty. One of my favorite scenes from [last season's finale] was when Betty offered herself to him again. And let’s face it — those two look really good together.”
Could we see a Draper family reunion that has the exes running back to each other? Fat chance. But hey: anything can happen on Mad Men.
“A Little Kiss” airs Sunday, March 25th at 9PM with a two-hour return.
