One of the bigger aspects of this season of Glee has been “family”. We’ve seen Sam’s parents, Santana’s parents and grandmother reacting to her coming out, Finn and Kurt’s parents still staying prominent, and then Finn learning a shocking truth about his father, the whole Quinn/Shelby baby mama drama, and coming up soon we’ll be meeting Rachel’s two fathers. Now, it seems the family element will continue even more, focusing on another Glee kid who’s kin we know nothing about.
TV Line reports that Matt Bomer, the lead actor of the hit USA series White Collar, is currently in the deal-making process to guest star on Glee as the older brother of Blaine! This will mark the first time we’ll ever get to meet another Anderson besides Darren Criss’ solo-belting ex-Warbler, and let’s face it: Bomer and Criss do look somewhat related!
Bomer was actually just cast in Ryan Murphy’s in development project The Normal Heart, a big screen adaptation of the play. Could we see more cast members, such as Julia Roberts, Alec Baldwin, Jim Parsons, or Mark Ruffalo, do guest spots on the show’s third season? Probably not, but we can dream!
The actor is said to even have his own musical number in the episode as well, which will air sometime in April. Matt Bomer dancing and singing alongside just-hot-off-Broadway Darren Criss in a duet? Hell yes!
Glee returns this Tuesday with a Michael Jackson tribute episode in its usual timeslot Tuesdays at 8PM on FOX.
