The next Riddick movie has received plenty of rocky publicity. From production having to be shut down due to unpaid bills, to Vin Diesel constantly providing fans with an inside look into the feature via his Facebook page, the film has finally become extremely stable. Now, Diesel has unveiled the new look of his character in the upcoming film just hours ago on Facebook once more, which you can see right below.
Diesel said, “Grateful for the opportunity to make magic…Thank you. P.s. One from the set…” (Click to enlarge):
Rumors of Katee Sackhoff and Jordi Molla joining the production have also been tossed around lately. Both would play mercenaries in the film, with Sackhoff’s character being the more kind one hunting down Riddick, while Molla’s character leading a team of 8 in doing the same, except their final goal is to kill Diesel’s character.
Synopsis, thanks to Slashfilm:
Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.
No release date window has been given to the film, but expect it sometime in 2013 most likely.
