‘Smallville’ Duo to Team Up with Stan Lee for an Original Superhero Film

Millar/Gough, who created, ran, and produced Smallville, have stepped away collectively from superheroes for sometime now. The duo haven’t tackled a big screen superhero since penning Spider-Man 2 in 2004. Since, then, the two have recurred on the big screen in films such as Wanted, I Am Number Four, and a few more. But, now is when they’ll reunite under the superhero genre, as they are set to adapt an all-new hero from comic legend Stan Lee.

Variety is reporting that Alfred Gough and Miles Millar will direct, produce, and write the mysterious project for Lionsgate films. It’s said that “[d]etails of the untitled project are being kept under wraps, but it’s described as a multigenerational superhero movie that spans several decades.”

This leaves a very big window open for the Hollywood pair, but also unites them in a familiar environment where they’ve very much succeeded in the past.

No other information is yet available, but we’ll keep you updated on whatever surfaces from this all-new big screen project.
