It was just yesterday when we reported on Ricky Martin being in negotiations to guest star on Glee as a Spanish teacher. Now, it seems that the Latin influence won’t be wearing off. Gloria Estefan is now reportedly going through the same process to add some much needed motherly love to one of the Glee cast members. But, who will it be?

EW is exclusively reporting that Estefan will be playing the role of Santana‘s mother, a role unoccupied in last night’s offscreen coming out for the singing diva.

It’s said that the episode is set to feature some music of Estefan’s as well, along with some other bilingual hits. There’s a good chance this could also be the same episode in which Ricky Martin guest stars, as the episode has also been pegged for late January.

With Santana’s mother appearing, could there be a confrontation between her and Santana’s Abuela brewing to defend her daughter? Just something we’re hoping for…
