Voting Starts Today on HallofGame.com
Cartoon Network today announced the voting categories and nominees for the second annual sports awards show, Cartoon Network Hall of Game Awards, which returns in early 2012. Hosted by basketball legend and TNT NBA analyst Shaquille O’Neal, the Cartoon Network Hall of Game Awards show willfeature icons from television, film, music and sports, as kids experience an evening of humor and fun at the most raucous and biggest sports awards show ever. Voting for these award categories is now open for fans on HallofGame.com. For the inaugural event in February of 2011, the site received over 37 million votes.

Hosted by basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal, the Cartoon Network Hall of Game Awards is a high-energy, off-the-wall, multi-platform experience that lets viewers vote and honor their favorite sports stars and sports moments of the year. This first-of-its-kind, sports award and entertainment event for kids, will once again be produced by IMG Media, the production arm of global sports, entertainment and media company, IMG. Time Inc. Sports Group’s SI KIDS franchise will again be serving as the official media partner. Veteran, award-winning television and special events producers, Michael Dempsey and Steve Mayer will return as executive producers. Viewers can expect a star-packed red carpet, on stage celebrity surprises, icons from television, film, music and sports, and hilarious hijinks all wrapped up into one awesome awards show.
In addition to hosting the Hall of Game Awards, O’Neal also recently joined Turner Sports to serve as an analyst across its portfolio of NBA assets. Beginning with the 2011-12 season, O’Neal will join TNT as a full-time analyst on the network’s Emmy Award-winning studio show, alongside Ernie Johnson (host), Kenny Smith (analyst) and Charles Barkley(analyst),and will be a part of the network’s exclusive NBA All-Star weekend and NBA Playoffs coverage. He will also be a key contributor to NBA TV and NBA.com, providing analysis and commentary throughout the regular season, as well as for The Finals, All Star Weekend and the NBA Draft.
