Now that Arrested Development has got its continuation deal straightened out, it seems that 2012 may be the year where much-anticipated after-cancellation debuts will begin to roll. It’s been awhile since we’ve reported on the Party Down film, which pointed towards a Summer 2012 filming date. But, star Adam Scott still says that the film is a go for that initial production start.
Grantland recently visited the Parks & Recreation set, where he got to talk to Adam Scott in between takes. When asked about the Party Down film, Scott said, “We have a treatment, and if everyone’s schedules work out, we’ll shoot it over the summer.”
That’s still another big if, but we’ll still take it. It’s being reported that the film already has a production company lined up, but the big wait remains on Starz for the initial greenlight. Still, though, there’s a very good chance that if everything works out the way it should, we could be seeing a trailer for the Party Down film this time next year.
