On the third day of Christmas, my true love gave to me:
THREE CIA’S (aka Three French hens)
Secret government officials have always a steadfast go to in movie character creation, and this year will be no different. Before spring shows itself, we can expect it to “rain” plots surrounding CIA agents.
Safe House (out February 10, 2012), stars Denzel Washington, Ryan Reynolds, and Tim McGraw, to name a few, in a suspense thriller storyline about a single surviving agent of an attack on a CIA safe house (Ryan Reynolds) as he’s attempting to get a lethal prisoner (Denzel Washington) to a second safe house. While avoiding being taken out by brute forces that want them both six feet under.
Wait about a week and you’ll have another CIA thriller on the horizon. (This time with more ladies) Act of Valor (released date Febru
ary 17, 2012) has actresses Roselyn Sanchez and Emilio Rivera as leading ladies. The synopsis: A CIA agent is kidnapped and a Navy Seal squad becomes the recue team, who in the recovery process, gets tangles up and takes down an intricate web of terrorists bent on striking America by whatever means necessary.
And lastly to mix things up a bit on this CIA strip, This Means War (also out February 17, 2012) Actors and actresses Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine, Tom Hardy, Chelsea Handler, and Angela Bassett headline this action comedy about two best friends/inseparable partners, and the world’s deadliest CIA operatives, who fall for the same pretty lady. Their unparalleled skills, and on hand high-tech gadgets that have served them well in taking down entire enemy nations, are now being used to take out each other.
