‘The Dark Knight Rises’ and ‘The Hobbit’ Trailers Attached to ‘Sherlock Holmes 2′?

We had posted just last week that The Hobbit‘s teaser trailer was looking to be released, as actor Andy Serkis revealed, but as to when was a complete mystery. Well, rumors are going crazy all over the internet that the film the trailer may be attached to will be Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. Furthermore, it seems an all new trailer for The Dark Knight Rises will be coming with the same film as well.

Variety film reporter Jeff Sneider originally is the one that seems to have confirmed both these trailers, though there is no official confirmation yet from the studios. He says, “Expect to see THE DARK KNIGHT RISES trailer in front of SHERLOCK HOLMES 2… And MAYBE even a HOBBIT teaser.”

The Hobbit teaser, as we said above, doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The Dark Knight Rises trailer definitely does. There was the huge uncovering of information in Empire this week, and now we can expect a full length trailer just next month.

While The Hobbit could be switched to Peter Jackson’s Tintin at any moment, its very safe to say we could see the trailer forThe Dark Knight Rises attached to either Sherlock Holmes 2, or Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, who has an exclusive prologue attached to the IMAX viewings of the film.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows opens everywhere on December 16th, 2012.
