A large amount of hype surrounds Ridley Scott’s upcomingPrometheus, which seeks to return Scott to the Alien universe with the alleged spinoff prequel. This week, a feature seeks to provide plenty more information on the film in this week’s Entertainment Weekly, and scans of that feature have made their way to the internet.

Synopsis:

Ridley Scott, director of “Alien” and “Blade Runner,” returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

So, the biggest question is obviously: what’s that freakin’ head? While none of this can quite be put into context yet, due to the lack of any real words from the article, it’s still interesting to watch, and we’ll definitely have more later in the week when information is revealed.

The film directed by Scott, and written by Damon Lindelof (LOST) and Jon Spaihts, also stars Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Rafe Spall, Logan Marshall-Green, Guy Pearce, and Patrick Wilson.

Prometheus will be released in theaters in June 18th, 2012
